I came across an article credited to the chairman 'Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association' Jalingo chapter Jauro Sahabi Tukur saying Gov. Ishaku should resign if he can't guarantee peace & security. In a statement made available to our correspondence by the S.A on New Media to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, Hon Nelson C. Len,he described the call as baseless and full of politically selfish interest. he said firstly, "In as much as a productive, constructive criticism is required to ignite any government into actuallizing its set goals & working upto expectation, Its not thesame when criticism are done on baseless & selfish grounds with the aim of creating misunderstanding which May result to chaos between the parties involved. Such is the case of Mr. Jauro Tukur as he speaks on a baseless ground. I will like to say with a high level of certainty & accuracy, that this present administration is the most peaceful administration in the entire history of Taraba & also has the least numbers of Fulani (Herdsmen) related cases and crisis and also its one of the most peaceful states in the northeastern region. This is achieved by the relentless effort of His Excellency Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku in making 'peace' a priority by taking proper measures in addressing the security challenges he met on assumption to office. I will like to dispute the point stated by Mr Tukur, who claims that His Excellency Gov. Darius Ishaku, only offers lips service. To dispute his claims; Firstly we all know the state at which Taraba was before DDI came on board, before his arrival the state was virtually in a chaotic form having repeatation of crisis in LG like Wukari, Bali to mention a few, but due to his quest of actualizing peace (as it is the basis of development) he firstly made direct contact with the parties and a. peace talk was initiated with a proper follow up by his grass root teams, and every Taraban can attest to the fact that peace has come to stay. "Give me Peace & I will give you development" been the slogan of Gov. Ishaku is one assurance of his commitment to peaceful initiatives and peaceful co-existence among Tarabans. Ofcos “the primary responsibility of any Governor as the chief Executive of his state is to ensure the protection of lives and property of the citizens" and that is what Governor Ishaku has been doing relentlessly Nelson said. Hon C. Len advised Tarabans not to allow the peace which we achieved through collective efforts and the effort of the government to be sabotaged because of the selfish interest of individuals who don't have the state at heart. Peace is here to stay in Taraba and it is our collective effort to make it stay he said. He Lastly said ,calling of Gov. Ishaku to re-sign is uncalled for as the reasons been portrayed are baseless, insensible, clueless and also shows some level of political immaturity to an extend, and urged them to desist from such inciting statement and join the rescue team to build a one indivisible Taraba.
