Governor Ishaku Charge Newly appointed third/Second Class Chiefs to be Peace Ambassadors as he Present them with Staff of office

His Excellency the Executive Governor of Taraba state Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku today presented the staff of office to the newly appointed third Class Chiefs as well as the upgraded second class chiefs. The event which drew people from all parts of the states took place at the Jolly Nyame stadium Jalingo
The Governor while Presenting the staff of office to the chiefs charged them to play a fatherly role in discharging their duties during their reign, Darius ask them to consolidate on the already peace movement going on in the state saying with their proper engagement on the people he is sure that they will attain a sustainable peace in the state.
He thank the traditional councils for their maximum cooperation in seeing that this comes to pass and urge them to always put Taraba first above all Other things.
The chiefs how ever expressed their deepest and sincere gratitude for the step taking by the governor to do what his predecessors could not do, they said this is a gesture that will live on and posterity will never forget it. They promised to do what ever is within their reach in supporting the Governor to build a lasting peace and to bring development to Taraba state.
