The Minister visited Taraba today in company of the MD Federal Motgage bank, and other Dignitaries. Speaking he said the houses were build to ease housing problems across the country and he will in few weeks do same in other states of the federation. He applauded the governor for the peaceful atmosphere Provided sofar in the state and all the giant strides he is putting in place. He also said, the Numan jalingo road awaits Executive council approval, though it was approved but stepped down due to one or two things to be sorted out shortly
The Governor Speaking thanked all who were in the entourage of the Minister to commision the houses. The houses are half for FG and half for state, the Governor said it will go along way to solve the housing issues in the sate. The Governor said The policies of the government is that every new intake in the civil service should at least the first 10 years be able to pay off and have a roof on there heads. He said he wouldn't want any civil servant to falsify any of his date of retirement again.
He sincerely thanked them and send his regards to the Minister and also the president. He told the Minister that he has given land also to other Conractors to do similar thing and soon it will kick-start. He assured them that any house he will commision will only be done when there is road in it and water. Governor Darius said it is his job to see that all matter of houses are settled in a short while.
Governor Darius talked about one thing that borders him so much which is the take off of the power hydro dam in mambilla which has a capacity of over 3000 mega watts, he said this will go along way in reducing and tacking light problems. DDI said few days back many slept without lights which if taking serious can be solved through this Hydro dam, he said he is sure that if this Dam is kick-start, in less than 6 years it will be completed.
The Governor said he wonders somuch why is it that Nigerians excel every were outside this country and only don't when they are in the country, he however said there can not be a move in the Dam without his concern as the Governor because he has the land. He told the Minister that starting this early will help stop certain shortcuts and also make proper Initiations in all ramifications. He said let there be proper procedures in the Hydro building because he won't Aceept any shortcut without the concern of the state. DDI also said he will dove his heart for anyone who does the work, be it APC or PDP irrespective of party because what Nigerians need is he who will do the work and bring development in the country.
The Governor finally appreciated there coming and send his regards to Mr President and the Honorable Minister for Power, Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola SAN and said let all hands be put on deck so that we can all benefit and grow the country.
