Taraba is one State in Nigeria that is traditionally a PDP State.The Party(PDP) has ruled the State credibly well from 1999 till date to the satisfaction of well meaning Tarabans.This state of affairs has not gone down well with some desperate politicians who want to takeover power in Taraba State at all cost.
It will be recalled that during the APC Presidential rally in Taraba State, the APC Gubernatorial candidate in person of Alh.Sani Abubakar Danladi alias "Contact", mounted the podium and instead of letting Tarabans know his manifesto, he kept on begging President Buhari to deploy more security personnel to Taraba State to assist him wrestle power from Gov Darius Dickson Ishaku by force.
As if that wadnot enough, recently, it was alleged that on Wednesday, 27th February, 2019,Sen.Yusuf A.Yusuf led a delegation comprising of Alh.Sani Abubakar Danladi,Alh.Garba Umar UTC,TUC's Bobboi Kaigama,Bala Bello Kakara and Amb.Jika Ardo to the acting Inspector General of Police to solicit for the deployment of massive police presence in PDP strongholds like Sardauna,Wukari,Bali,Gassol,Donga,Takum,Karim Lamido and Gashaka LGAs of the Sate.
Their grand plan is for these policemen and other security agents to assist them and the APC in carrying out massive rigging with the aid of the gun in these PDP strongholds. These APC stalwarts know especially from the just concluded Presidential polls,that without rigging and the assistance of security agents,APC can NEVER win free and fair elections in Taraba State.
For the records, PDP and indeed well meaning Tarabans are not against the presence of security men during elections. However, when it appears so apparent that one Political Party is taking steps to procure the assistance of security agents to win the elections, then,we must raise the alarm.
Security agents are not supposed to be seen or perceived to be biased or partisan during elections. We are raising this alarm timely for Tarabans, Nigerians and indeed the International Community to be aware of the grand plan to thwart the will of the people in Taraba State.The diabolic plan must be aborted otherwise, an avoidable anarchy and/or Crisis could be inevitable.
Again, it is no longer news that one Yerima Guyuk, a staff of INEC has been posted to INEC office in jalingo with the sole mandate of tampering with votes cast by the electorate in favour of PDP.
We have taken time to raise this alarm early enough to advice the Nigerian Police and INEC not to compromise or be partisan in the conduct of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections, especially for Taraba State.INEC is hereby put on ADEQUATE NOTICE that any attempt to thwart the collect will of Tarabans as expressed in the polls SHALL stoutly be resisted.
