Governor Ishaku attends 2nd Nigeria Annual Mining week, speaks of the abundance solid mineral resources in Taraba

Gov Ishaku commended the Hon minister saying he has done a job well done and there will be so much hope if it is continued in this speed. Taraba he said is a nature's gift to the nation and all this minerals are found in large quantity. Darius Ishaku said if little could be put in to this mining on the Mambilla plateau it will go a long way in divesifiyng the economy. He told the minister of power that his dam (Mambilla hydro power plant) is latex on a boxzied and that was a added advantage and more money. Gov Ishaku said though the minerals are been mined illegally for now, he hopes it will be legalised so as to derived proper gain from it. The state government needs to be well involved in all processes of this mining so as to avoid unnecessary clashes from both communist, goverments and miners Darius said.


His Excellency Darius Dickson Ishaku stressed that there should be proper clearance and arrangements between the state and the federal Governments so as to avoid clashes during exploration of this minarals. Ishaku however urged the federal government to review the tax gazette been used now because what is been paid as tax right now is grossly rediculus and plead with the minister to look into it so that both federal and state government can benefit more.
