His Excellency Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku today commissioned the Mararaba Donga magistrate court, this is the second Court edifice he is commissioning in the space of two days, Yesterday one was commissioned in Donga Town and today another on Mararaba both in Donga LG of Taraba state.
His Excellency Governor Darius Ishaku speaking thanked the chief judge describing her as one who is persistent when ever she wants anything especially when it has to do with his people. The Governor advised the people to always accept it whole heartedly when development is coming their way. Darius said this is a plus for Donga, mararaba and Taraba state as a whole.
The Governor reteriated his assurance for development saying if the peace enjoyed sofar is sustained he will do more, the Governor added a heavy duty generator for the court for it to power it appliances and to aid conducive environment for continues justice
The chief judge speaking said the government can not do everything for the people saying the elite will have to support the government in bringing to the people the desired development. Justice Tuktur said even though there was so much controversies in erecting the edifice but she is overwhelmed with joy seeing that the court has been Commisioned today.
The building she said is above the standard of a Area court and that is why she upgraded it to a Magistrate court. She called on the people to shun all sort of sentiments be it religious or tribal so that continues justice will reach the door step of a common man.
Distinguished senator Emmanuel Bwacha speaking said God has granted him the grace and to him there is nothing more than giving back to the society and that is what he has just done, Bwacha said one of those days he felt the pains of knowing that his people has to travel all the way to Jalingo to seek for redress when ever need arises and that was the genesis of how the structure came about.
Bwacha thanked the Governor for all his efforts especially in infrastructure saying there is a infrastructure decay in the Country but despite that Governor Ishaku is making a difference. The Senator went ahead to thank the chief judge of the state (justice Josephine Tuktur ) for also appreciating his efforts by upgrading the court to a magistrate.
The Chief Magistrate of the state Barr. Mrs Clara G. Kataps commended the Governor for the step taking to ensure that space for justice is provided in the state,she said over 30 years ago the court was established not until now that the Senator magnanimously resurrected The building.
Barr. Clara said through the chief judge Distinguished senator Emmanuel Bwacha came to rise the cracked building that many has passed by without looking towards it. She called on all the elite and politicians to always emulate the steps of the Distinguished senator by giving back to the society. Barr Clara in her concise remarks announced upgrading of the court from Area court to Magistrate court
An electric water borehole constructed in same Mararaba by the Governor for the mosque was later commissioned
