Could it be that the sun has finally set again for the Wukari people? Even as the Visionary Governor sets to give it a new look again. Rehabilitation of Tsukundi road was picked from the Exerlarc planners and also the Hospital Rehabilitation. Governor Darius said the Electricity will come from Kashimbilla and the Water will Aso come from Ibi for the hospital. He ask the police and the Royal father to talk to the people to move to the new market so that the city will grow, that is also set to be done in Jalingo because with that there will be growth in the city. The Governor said soon the skills aquasition center will be touched because even the state candidates who participated in the skills aquasition will be graduated next week and also the Aku uka place will be on rehabilitation very soon.
The Ceremony took place in wukari General Hospital premises, as well as Tsukundi road, in attendance was His Excellency the Deputy Governor Taraba state Engr Haruna manu, SSG Hon Anthony Jellason, Members Taraba state House of Assembly, members of the Executive council, Advisers, SSA's Royal father's etc.
The governor said the renovation of the hospitals is one among his campaign promises Made, and as such he has decide to renovate three hospitals across the state they are General Hospital Wukari, Gembu and Bambur. He said they will not only renovated but will be equipped to meet International standard, he said the equipments are not been waited for but they are in place and soon as it is done it will just be equipep. Talking he said he has ask the Comisioner to recall Nurses which have retire so that they can be enough personals to take care of all health challenges. He said he is hoping that a Hospital with a large space like that of wukari will in future be converted to a Teaching Hospital, saying as the state put in more efforts in bringing the best for the people they should also consider government property as there own, if anyone is not satisfied with any service of the government he should report to the appropriate authority to avoid damages which will in future call for regrets. The Governor in his magnanimity immediately gave temporary appointment to all the 46 cleaners presently working at the Hospital. He also Flaged off the kick-starting and the construction of 30 Kilometers Wukari Tsukundi road
The most Concentrated enclave of the Jukun kingdom is now in wukari, I'm overwhelm by the significance and contribution of the Aku uka in peace building and hence the rehabilitation of the palace the governor said. The rehabilitation of the palace will be one thing that will make it a great edifice for a accommodating palace to suit his status. On this note the governor hear by call on the following memebers to be in the Aku uka place committee Rehabilitation, Mr SD Gani Chairman and 7 other members. These memebers will lease with the consultancies in the rehabilation of the palace, which will have guest houses, Meusumes, conference hall, offices, amfi theater.
The Governor said The money for the rehabilitation will come from well wishers because it is not a government project and were he mention they will go and do so with all sincerity of purpose. He charge all who are part of the committee to take it seriuos, he inaugurated them and told them to make sure they leave a foot in the sand of time so that they can be remembered.
The Aku uka of Wukari Dr Angyu Masa ibi Kuvyu ii responding said he is overwhelm with what has happen today. He said the Beauty of life is to give birth to a good child, and he is happy today because he has given birth to a good son (DDI ) he said the way he met the palace every one knows and he is excited that the governor has decided to do this. He called on the Committee to take this task given to them with all seriousness so that history can remember them. He thanked people like Nyame, Danbaba who also contributed in giving the palace a new look but he is short of words because Governor Darius is bring up a entire new edifice. He thanked the Governor and prayed everyone who has witness the takeoff will live to experience and see the beauty of what is set to be constructed.
