The Executive Governor of Taraba state Arc
Darius Dickson Ishaku today swear in the Newly
Elected Chairmen of the Fifteen LGA and one CTC
Chairman , the swearing in took place at Gym
hall jolly Nyame stadium jalingo And had in
attendance His Excellency the Deputy Governor
Taraba state
Engr Haruna manu, Speaker Taraba state house of
assembly Rt Hon Abel Peter Diah, PDP Chairman
Hon Victor Bala kona, SSG Hon Anthony Jellason,
Chief of staff Hon Rebo usman, Chief judge
Justice
Josephine Tuktur, Memebers of Taraba state
House of assembly, Members of Taraba state
Executive council, Advisers, SSA's and well
wishers
from the sixteen LGA.
The crowd witnessed in today's event is a clear
indication that indeed the emergence of these
chairmen came as a result of free fair and credible
elections. The Governor charged all the Fifteen
Executive Chairmen and one caretaker Chairman
that of Ibi to render a selfless service to the state
and humanity, he urge them not to disappoint the
people who gave them the mandate to serve as it
is a opportunity and not a privilege. He however
prayed the chairmen to key into the Rescue
mission immediately in other to actualize the
vision
and goals of this administration
The Governor in a swift take thanked the entire
good people of Taraba for conducting them selfs
and coming out in mass to elect a leader of there
choice , and comend Tarabans for the peaceful
conduct before, during and after the Elections. The
Governor acknowledged the Taraba state
Independent Electoral Commission, religious
leaders who prayed enestly to make sure that this
elections ends peacefully, thank you all he said.
The Governor said he is yet delighted again as it
is
a mile stone and not that the LGA Chairmen is the
drivers of GYour real change, he said it was also the
test of whether what his administration has been
doing reaches the people and yields positively .
On the PDP he said, what happen on Saturday is a
clear indication of acceptance, he however said
the
Chairman PDP need to be praised because he has
produce and acceptable leadership in all LGA. He
placed his deep apprication to the TSIEC for a job
weldone which has been praised by the National
an
international observers. Notwithstanding he said
the people have shown him the support by given
him the vote he asked for and now that they've
given him double vote he will step up with a
double
developmental strides
He said from 2012 when the last election was
held
the state has been operating on caretakers and
the
conduct of this election is a show that democracy
has taken it place in Taraba state. He said public
trust is a burden that must be dispense off justly
and fairly, he ask them to be just, be fair and
administer there job with a heart of love for the
state. He told them that we are in a dwindling
time
of economic crises and unusual time produce
unusual people and with such they should work
hand in hand with the local securities and Royal
father's to coup the situation. He warned saying
he will not want to hear any matter of Fulani
herdsmen and farmers because this are issues
that
can be handled by them. He charged them never
to
engage in replacing people who are dead in service
by others as the present situation is not in the
state to handle such.
The Governor said he has had people say they've
not received salaries for 11 months but in his
book
he has paid all salaries up till last month and this
month's will start payment tomorrow, he ask the
people to report anyone who is into any act to
bring the state into financial hardship through
salary racketing. He warn saying on no account
should any chairman turn the LGA revenue into his
pocket money as he won't take this for any
reason. He remind them that humility is the watch
word and they should Remember that they were
elected by people and should avoid shoulder high
and serve the people. He ask them to summit
there mode of office to the permanent secretary
Beureu for Local government and chieftaincy
