A collection of stakeholders in Taraba state and across the nation, has hailed the appointment of Professor Vincent Tenebe as the new Vice Chancellor of the Taraba State University (TSU). Tenebe was, among many things, the immediate Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Speaking to KWARARAFA REPORTERS, current spokesman of NOUN, Mallam Ibrahim Sheme, said he believes Taraba state has made a "great" choice in the VC pick. He said, "I believe that was a fantastic choice. When we came here we were astounded by all we heard of the former VC. You know, not many people say good things about predecessors. But Prof Tenebe was lauded by many people here. He also helped us as we transited. I think he is a credible choice and I want to commend him." In a similar vein, Hassan Zanau, a public affair commentator, said Tenebe is one of the best decisions of Mr. Darius Ishaku. KWARARAFA REPORTERS monitored many online reactions that showed that Tenebe enjoyed a close to 100% acceptance among many stakeholders. Some respondents said his track record has qualified him for the new office. A renown academic, Tenebe is credited with turning NOUN around and making it a veritable institution of learning. Governor Ishaku is being lauded by many who believe Tenebe would move the Taraba State University to enviable heights.
