The Rescue watch of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku productive

Rescue watch team which was set up by the executive
governor of Taraba state Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku
held her first meeting today 1st November 2016. The
meeting took place at the executive council chambers
government house Jalingo.
During the meeting which also served as a report
presentation, the team leaders which are special
Advisers and SSA brought fruitful result from the
grass roots. On there visit to some communities,
persons who had Sneak bite, child delivery surgery
and are in critical condition were rescued by paying
of there medical bills and more.

Town Hall meetings were held and pressing needs of
communities noted , training on various skills
acquisition in the sixteen LGA which was instituted by
the governor was supervised and confirmed that it
was well appreciated by the people. Request were
made from all the LGA which the governor was
briefed on and has promised to look into.

Some NYSC members who were mentioned from
Donga and one Remond kola from Gassol for there
selfless service to the state were recommended for
state awards by the governor and directed the chief
of staff to write the NYSC on that regards.


The people however express joy saying this is the
first of it kind in the entire nation that a common
man was involved in perticipatory activities of
governance. Ward heads, chiefs and beneficiaries
expressed total gratitude to God almighty for sending
them a savior in person of Gov DDI.

In responds the Executive governor said, now we can
see the need for implementation of the rescue watch.
He said we are not yet there but already feeling the
impact and by the time we are done not only will the
grass roots citizens enjoy this, but we shall be
respected by our communities. He said let people
feel what we are doing and allow people express
there views so that we will know if we are on track or
not. He added by saying on the health facilities and
medicals, we have two containers of drugs which
have come in and need to know how to distribute it
by leasing with the health commisioner. citing an
example on a woman who was giving 50 thousand
for surgery, he said on a normal day that woman
shouldn't have paid for that operation but should
enjoy the benefits of free state medication and he is
working hard on that.

The Governor also promised to look into the wash
away of the Donga bridge, he however ask those
from Donga to send in photographs so it can be
taking off officially. Also amongst his observations
was the Wukari shortage of water which he
vehemently promised to take off the matter and
insure adequate water supply in Wukari. The
Governor also said 100 borehole were drilled in the
past one year, and another 100 would have start if
not for the rainy season
Mararaba abong road....the Governor said the
contract has been revoked and the process of
mobilisation and rewarding of the contract is what is
on ground now. he said it takes over 6 weeks to start
up a new process, another six weeks to advertise and
another six weeks to procure and by the time you put
them together almost half a year is gone but he is
doing his best concerning the road and in no
distance time it will kick start.

He however thanked all who are involved in the grass
roots rescue watch and comend them for the good
job they are doing and urge them not to reliant but
do more for the glory of our dear state.
