Today a crowed of Hundreds of youths , Elders and women matched to the government house Jalingo in solidarity support of Governor Darius Dickson ishaku Led administration. The people Condemned the attitude of some people who came out on Monday to protest against the government for lack of paying teachers salaries. They said it is unfair for anyone to accuse this government of non payment of teachers salaries, they said they are aware that verification and biometrics were done so as to have a lasting solution to the issue and are in full support of the process. The applaud the synergy been practiced between the executive and Legislative saying it is a sign of greater things to happen in Taraba and they are patiently waiting for that Taraba of there dream.
The SSG Hon AnthonyJellason who received them said the government is paying teachers and will continue paying soon as they are cleared. He told them that the NUT chairman Ali Mafindi had disassociate him self from the Monday protest because it was build on fales reason and out of guide, he applauded the people for such move and encouraged them to always take there future by standing for the truth and not always been a bought over just as many who participated in the Monday protest. He said in as much as protest is the right of every citizen to demonstrate, let it be in accordance with the law and have a genuine reason rather than using the Avenue to cause distraction in governance.
