The governor who was speaking at the sandralia hotel Abuja during the annual General Meeting of the saint Paul's collage old boys Association, was as a Zaria emphasizes that he was not deterred by the activities and mischievous efforts of the opposition aimed at pulling down his administration. Ishaku who was the special guest of Honour at the occasion said that he inherited a battered state with virtually nothing to show but that at the moment every sector of the economy was being given a new lease on live. He however, stated that Taraba state is not a quite state as many people especially those living outside the state might have envisaged but that he met the state in pieces as a result of the ethno-religious crisis and the Fulani herdsmen and farmers clashes which had bedelived the state in the past until now that relative peace had been restored through his administration peace initiatives efforts. Ishaku assured that he would do anything humanly possible to ensure lasting peace so that his Rescue mission agenda aimed at fast tracking the peace of development in the state will thrive.. According to the Governor those criticising his administration are people who he described as arm chair politicians based in Abuja without any knowledge of happening in Taraba state. He enumerated provision of portable water supply within Jalingo and his suburbs,health care delivery services, road network,resuscitation of he Mambila Highland Tea Company,opening of the Jalingo air space which has given rises to three fights a week to jalingo the state capital,stable power supply in jalingo metropolis among others as some of his achievement since he assumed office two years ago. Ishaku also said that his administration has made concern efforts to woo investors to the state to enhance its industrialization, assuring that very soon such efforts will state yielding positive results. Governor Ishaku said what he needed most now as a leader was prayers from all and sundary to enable him succeed, pointing out that the relative peace being experienced in Taraba state was a result of prayers. He explained that the court cases instituted again st his election as a Governor sometime ago had made him popular and as such would work even harder to make his political associates and his colleagues the old boss proud at the end of his tenure. Earlier, the president of the saint Paul's collage old boys Association Dr.Yunusa Samaila showered economiums on the Governor who is one of them for his pragmatic leadership qualities and for his continued financial and moral support to the Association and prayed God to give him more wisdom to successfully pilot the affairs of Taraba state
