Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku today received senior officials of
the NSCDC in his chambers. Addressing the officers Governor Ishaku
thanked them saying this was the first time he was hosting any arm who
are indigen, Ishaku said it is a honor having them come to visit him and
identify with him as a servant of there state, Ishaku said he is proud
to have them because the state commandant is representing them well and
their promptness to duty is one thing that is highly commendable.
Darius told them that he was doing his best to uphold the name
Nature's gift and to also make every son and daughter of Taraba who is
outside proud. Darius said Taraba is on a tripod as he has always said
and he is working hard to actualize this statements because soon Taraba
will be a power producing state.
The Governor optimistically said he is sure that soon Taraba in particular jalingo will be like Nairobi were exportation of milk and beef will be on daily basis. Ishaku used the medium and urge every Taraban to shun all form of violence and embrace peace so that together we can grow a better bigger Taraba
Deputy National Commandant Amos Musa Andekin a DCG in the National
Security civil Defence Corp and a indigen of Taraba State who is the
second in command in the entire North said the visit was to register
there presence in the state. He applauded the Governor for the
monumental land mark achieved in a very short period of time In office
especially in the area of total restoration of peace.
He
urged everyone in the state to embrace peace because without which they
will be no meaningful development. He thank the Governor for providing
basic amenities for the state commandant/ Command saying this has enable the command Carry out her duties effectively.
Andekin said even though the Corp belongs to the federal government the
Governor has made it easy for them to operate. lastly he urged all
citizens to join the Governor in making Taraba a dream state for all
through peace building.
