He said it was unfortunate that many Tarabans are not aware of the vacancies that exist in the federal civil service, saying applicants should imbibe the habit of reading newspapers to avail themselves with vacant positions at the federal public service.
Julius Kaigama appealed to the state government to always cross check information on vacancies with Federal ministries, agencies and departments for the onward dissemination of such information to applicants in the state.
The Commissioner said before his appointment, the state was poorly
represented at the Federal Civil service but said constant information and synergy with the state government saw improvements as the state government is now working with the Commission to address the problem.
Julius Kaigama said Section 1 of the Act establishing the Commission states that each state of the Federation, should have equitable representation at the Federal level and saw no reason why the state is not represented. He, however, promised to justify the mandate given to him to represent Taraba state.
The Federal Commissioner commended Governor Darius Ishaku for working hard towards the development of the state, with emphasis on his constant visitation to Abuja and other places to woo investors to the state for developmental purposes.
