Gov Ishaku uplift 20 ward heads to District heads

Governor Darius Ishaku today issued appointment letters to  newly uplifted District heads. The event took place in the Gov chambers Government house jalingo and has in attendance the Deputy Gov Enrg Manu, Chief of Muri, Chief of Karim, members representing Karim 1, Karim 2, etc. The districts consist of both old Muri chiefdom and the Wurkum chiefdom

Speaking at the event Gov Ishaku said the reason for uplifting them is because this government has the desire to bring the people together and also to foster peace as well as maintain the peace. He said for this peace to come and stay we need able hands that will come and manage the peace, Ishaku said he has in his two years in office found out that what is bringing the breach of peace is because we lack the humour to accommodate one another.

He said he understands that even in the both holy books is written love one another and this implies that it could be Muslim or christian. Ishaku said if we are able to do this in Taraba there will be a rapid development with out struggles.

Ishaku said in the last two years he has put in his best with alot to show for and if more could be kept of the peace, then more of the development will be done. Gov Ishaku urge them to dedicate there life's to serving God as well as the entire state so that they can be peace in the land. Giving instances  He said the 15,000 people who farmed rice in Karim will be upgraded to 40,000 in the next farming season if maximum peace is maintained

Adding he condemned in Totality the insinuation from quarters who accuses the government in having hands in causing crisis and urge them to desist from things capable of causing misunderstanding between one another.

The Gov applauded the state In various areas like the Education saying Taraba is Number one in the entire North inrespect of WAEC and said that is his desire in making sure that the state moves forward.

He charged the Newly uplifted district head to take peace as their focal point and make sure that love is the greatest in there reign, saying he wants to be remembered for someone who came ,so and conquered with Love and not knife, guns and hate.

Making remarks The permanent Secretary Bureau for local Government and chieftaincy affairs Mal Bello yero said  Years has pass since this people have been yearning to be uplifted from Ward head to District head it never happened until The coming of Gov Ishaku. Yero said they are 15 district head from Wurkum chiefdom and 5 from old Muri Chiefdom and went ahead to describe this move by the Executive Gov as timely and said this will further strengthen the  bonding between the villages and also create more rooms for peace.

Speaking on behalf of the district heads Alh Ismaila Agwaro said he is indeed grateful on behalf of his colleagues saying over 100 years ago this was supposed to have been done but until the coming of DDI. He said when the Gov came he came with a slogan Rescue mission and indeed they are rescued.

He said what the Gov has done today is a history that will be remembered for eternity and prayed the rescue mission find no blockage even as it takes Taraba to a greater heights.
