His Excellency Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku today received Taraba state stakeholders in his home town Takum were he is celebrating the Christmas, the event was well Attended and had the following dignitaries present, His Excellency the Deputy Governor Enrg Haruna Manu, The chief Judge Justice Josephine Tuktur, Speaker Taraba state House of Assembly Rt Hon Abel Peter Diah, Distinguished Senator Emma Bwacha, Distinguished Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau, Member House of Representatives Hon DC Hosea, Members Taraba state house of Assembly, Commissioners, Advisers, SSA's, Traditional rulers etc
The Governor speaking talked about the security of the state, he thanked the security Chiefs saying they are the men and women who stands on there toes just to make sure that we go to bed they are the people that remain awake while we are at sleep, Ishaku gave them three gbosa and openly express his gratitude towards there doggedness in keeping the state secured. The Governor said it is not yet uhuru because the peace on ground is not yet a deep rooted peace and we must work for a deep rooted peace. He said for the love and pity of humanity God send down his son to come and give us all, and it wasn't specific so we must love even our enemies as our self's , because divinely it is possible. He said if we love one another then Taraba will know no end when it comes to greatness and achievement. He thanked the state for listening to him and giving peace a chance, he how ever blew his trumpet because no one will blow it for him if he doesn't do that him self, adding that the enemy will never see anything good in what you do even when it is before his house.
The Governor said it takes 8 minutes to get to paces like the home town of the party chairman at against 1 hour 30 before. He talk about the wukari General Hospital which is one of the best in Taraba, he said one of the best scanning machine in Taraba is found there. Darius said the hospitals in Gembu and Bambur are already undergoing rapid rehabilitation, all that he said is few among many done.
Ishaku said if wishes were horses every request made today would be gotten, he reminded the people that the past administration is not in the same pattern with this administration, he said he will do all he can to meet the standard. He pleaded with them to be more patience as he will do his best to draw closer to every of their request. The Governor said he is doing first thing first by making sure that he collapsed all that request and make sure that he build all the hospitals, roads and other amenities so that he will certified millions of people that those who can afford it. He said to him politics is service and not a do or die affairs, he said he will want to leave a name than earn money because he will not buy Royce for them.
Ishaku said even if the Senators don't do a good job his Job should cover them, he said they shouldn't mind about his little lapses that comes from his protocols and aids. He pleaded with everyone to focus first on issues of the state and not individual because he wants to be a Governor saying if doing things to individuals is what will make him retain his seat then he prefers going back to stay silent. He assured the people letting them know that what ever decision he takes is for the good of the people.
The Governor thanked the people of NLC, ALGON and TUC for honoring him last time because he now know that it was an award worth taken, he said they were on his neck because they wanted awarding him and he worked hard and earn it. Ishaku said he had to settle the salary saga because he stood up and became strong and the masses became settled . He said he is indeed grateful for appreciating him and told them they kept his feet on fire and today he has met that demands they urged him. He talked little about the upgrades in certain sectors of the state like education saying fir the first time Taraba came first in withe whole of North and recalibrate the teachers which gave rise to what the sector is enjoying. Governor Ishaku said he also lifted employment embargo after 17 years and Sighted and example when Comr Hope's said he gave them a digital VC.
Governor Ishaku also express happiness over the foundation of his dear wife saying she has touched lives and the N'na Ndola given to her is well deserved. Ishaku said empowerment has reach all crannies of the state and he can beat his chest on that aspect. He said even the Highland Tea has passed the test in Europe but the state can't even reach the demand not to talk of abroad. He urged the people to be diligent in the little they are doing so that when much comes we can sustain it.
He ask for prayers especially for the state, he said we should pray fervently for attitude change because if not nothing will change, he said we need prayers so that the State can have this focused mind.
The Governor said people have always called him and thank him for his efforts towards salaries and as well leaving in peace. Again Comr Hope was remembered in his speech saying his words were encouraging and he (Governor) is grateful for such kind words saying such are things he need.
The Association of Senior Special Assistant thank the Governor through there chairman Hon Sunday Tonga and said it is very easy when it comes to 2019 because the Governor has made it easy by fulfilling most of his campaign promises. Sunday prayed for health, long life and wisdom on the Governor.
The ALGON Chairman Hon Ibrahim Stephen Agya who spoke on behalf of the Chairmen, said the Governor has set a standard by taking our youths off the street and empowering them, he said this will go a long way by eradicating poverty and crime rate in our communities . Agya said he on behalf of the chairmen is grateful for all his out stretched arms to the LG. He however plead with the Governor for the approval of supervisory councilors so that they will also use that Avenue in reaching out to the people.
Comr Hope Nyovko speaking on behalf of the NUTASS spoke brilliantly by thanking the Governor and also assuring him of there highest support anytime any day. Hope said the students have so far enjoyed numerous touch from the Governor by distributing Computers to the students and also giving the University a digital Vice chancellor. The NUTASS president however requested for a bus which will be used in conveying her students for various educational purposes. He also pleaded for the construction of a office complex saying with the above mentioned coupled with the payment of the students scholarship, 2019 will be a work over for him.
The NUJ chairman Mr Jovita Shafe thank the Governor for his support to the union and prayed that God will keep providing ways and resources for continues dividend. He plead with the Governor for the renovation of their complex and said with that they will have no course to worry while carrying out there duties as they will have time to checkmate excess of members.
The TUC/NLC spoke in the same tune thanking the Governor and congratulated the Governor on this loadable achievement, they said celebrating the festive period peaceful is one thing that they can not take for granted. They applauded the Governor for putting the civil service on a high priority, they said salaries are been paid as at when due and that has eased alot of rumbles in families. They went ahead by applauding the Governor's developmental strides saying he has done beyond expectation and urge him to continue in that might .
They pleaded for gratuity saying the people who have serve the state should be considered so that the State can be more effective as it is already on track. Not to stop they thank the Governor for lifting embargo on employment saying he came with vision to change especially the Taraba state civil service and prayed the Governor for due process during the process of employment.

People with disabilities speaking said they are indeed grateful for this day and pray that God will bring more greater years ahead. They acknowledged the gesture of the Governor towards people with disabilities, they said appointments were giving to them which is the first time in the state, also empowerment of there members was well considered and pray that 2019 will be a diving mandate.
The Tiv Cultural Development Association spoke about the security of the state, he said the Tiv people are indeed grateful because they are the sole beneficiaries of the security strides of the Governor and prayed for more wisdom to keep securing them. He said the Governor has brought together brain boxes into his Rescue mission and they are on the speed Lane, he finally pleaded for a PVC registration center in all Tiv areas so that they will also have the right to return him 2019
Secondary school teachers Association spoke and express gratitude to God almighty for bringing the Governor at a time like this, he said Darius came when the state was like an orphan who needed a father. They said they are indeed aware and beneficiaries of the Governor's developmental strides, saying for the first time in the history of the state and the Nation, Taraba recorded 1st in an external exams in the North and 8th in the nation. He said despite the lean resources the Governor has taking the bull by the horn and has set a standard in the education sector. Abraham Lincoln said in every greedy politician there is a leader with a soft heart and Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku is one.
The Daram Dam group also applauded the Governor for looking into the plight of the youths by giving them employments and also making sure that they have something doing. They thank the Governor as well as Perm sec bureau for all the support giving to them through the years of his stay in office and assured him of total support come 2019.
